Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland, again
During our last stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland, we stayed at the little Camping Breithorn camping site. (See also the previous post). From the camping place, we also walked to Lauterbrunnen village, partly along the river Weisse Lütschine. The surrounding views in the valley are absolutely spectacular, so no wonder lots of people use the narrow road for walks in the sun. Along the road, the Alp cattle graze and there are at least 2 boots, one with a vending machine, where Alp cheese, butter and other local delicacies can be bought. Of course, we also here had to fill some cheese in the backpack. There is also a big barbecue and picnic area available with free firewood. In Lauterbrunnen, we had, as many times before, a light lunch at the Horner Pub. Of course, we once more admired some of the many waterfalls giving the name of the valley.
