CORIPPO
Corippo, the smallest village in Switzerland, with only 12 (13?) inhabitants, is also one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Verzasca Valley. Walking around in the narrow, and steep, alleys is like going back decades. Charming, calm, quiet, relaxing, stunning – all at the same time. No wonder some people, perhaps 800 years ago, wanted to settle here. At some point of time around 300 lived here. Apart from the old stone houses, there is a tiny church and then the Osteria Corippo (small restaurant) – another really good reason to come to Corippo. 🙂 The menu is short but still interesting, as it should be in an osteria. This day we all chose dish of the day; chicken leg with pasta and vegetables plus a salad. Very well prepared indeed. Eating here – with a nice cold beer – enjoying the view to the valley from the sunny terrace, life is good 😉By the way, the Fondazione Corippo won the Hotel Innovations-Award 2017 with its Albergo-Corippo hotel project! Interesting to see what that brings to Corippo next year.
