The Eiger Glacier

The EIGERGLETSCHER, (-glacier) at the foot of the mountains Mönch and Jungfraujoch, and the Eiger mountain are the impressive views we enjoyed from the terrace of the restaurant of the same name. Lunch is always good when sitting on a sunny terrace in 2322 meters a.s.l., and then with THIS view!! The restaurant is open all year, so no reason to wait. Some interesting hiking trails also begins here.
The train from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg, where we had to switch train, and then to the next stop, also named Eigergletscher, lasts about one hour.

It’s a very interesting trip with incredible views to the valley of Lauterbrunnen, with the many water falls, including the 297 meter high Staubbach Fall. The train from Kleine Scheidegg to the Eigergletscher is actually continuing all the way up to Jungfraujoch Railway Station, the highest in Europe. We are absolutely planning to return, and then take the train to this high altitude station 🙂
